Jason Stout - Founder

"Bad chapters can still create great stories, much like how recovery board members can guide individuals through tough times. Wrong paths can still lead to right places, just as the recovery community support can redirect lives toward healing. Failed dreams can still create successful people, illustrating that sometimes it takes losing yourself to find yourself, particularly in the realm of recovery leadership." - Cynthia Thurlow

Shane Jones - President

Shane is a dedicated member of the recovery board members for Recovery Renaissance, bringing over 22 years of personal recovery experience to his role. For the past 6 years, he has been actively involved in a 28-day inpatient rehabilitation program for men, offering vital recovery community support and guidance as they navigate their own recovery journeys. Residing in Johnson City with his wife and beloved cats, Shane is also passionate about "forest-bathing," finding solace and connection through mindfulness activities in nature. His commitment to recovery leadership and helping others, as well as fostering a sense of community, is evident in both his professional and personal life.

Veronica Alsop

As a dedicated board member of Recovery Renaissance, I am deeply committed to empowering individuals in their journey of transformation. With a passion for cultivating resilience, healthier habits, and recovery community support, I aim to inspire those affected by addiction. My personal experience with recovery fuels my desire to pay it forward, offering the same level of support to others and their loved ones that I received. I recognize that addiction not only impacts individuals struggling but also profoundly affects their families and loved ones. In my role, I focus on providing guidance and support to these families, understanding the crucial role they play in the recovery process. As part of the recovery leadership team, I firmly believe that community and support are the cornerstones of recovery, and I share Recovery Renaissance’s mission to foster personal growth and make a profound impact on the lives of both individuals overcoming addiction and their families.
